Snack time gets an extra flair when your mom is Chrissy Teigen! While my kids get easy-to-grab snacks like oranges or energy bars after school — and sometimes homemade cookies — the Cravings author made a beary cute snack for her “little bear” son Miles, 6, and fans are dying to recreate this at home.
“Little bears for my little bear 🐻” the Chrissy and Dive Dine Out star wrote on Instagram Thursday. She shared a video of the cute treat she made for her son, which involved placing rectangle pieces of dough on parchment paper, then sticking pieces of a chocolate bar in the middle to make a chocolate “pillow”. A little Teddy Graham cracker goes on top, then she pulls the dough halfway up and pinches the edges with a fork. It makes a yummy, cozy bear bed — and it looks so cute!
“Miles, is it tasty?” she asks her son, who’s eating one of the freshly baked bears. “Uh-huh,” he says, while continuing to chew. That’s the best compliment!
“So tasty!” Teigen’s husband John Legend, with whom she shares Miles and Luna, 9, Esti, 18 months, and Wren, 1, commented.
Another suggested, “A tiny marshmallow pillow would have given a s’mores experience.” Ohh, great idea for next time! “Shut up. This is so cute and also yum?!” someone else wrote.
Teigen has been having a lot of fun with her kids this summer. Earlier this month, she made a parody video of Bravo TV’s Below Deck, where she dressed in a boat captain uniform and complained about how hard “yachting” (aka, parenting!) is.
“I love my job … it’s the clients that are really tough,” she jokingly tells the camera, panning to Miles throwing a tantrum in the backyard and Luna screaming, “We need toys!”
“They can be very demanding,” she adds. Later she gave one of her “primary” clients Miles a jelly sandwich, which he did not like. “He was irate,” she said before the clip showed her crying in the laundry room. We’ve all been there, girl!
Hey, at least he liked the bear snacks! If not, the mama bear might have had to find somewhere more comfortable than the laundry room to cry it out.
